Berkshire Hathaway is the publicly traded corporate conglomerate that Warren Buffett built as a holding company for his investment portfolio of stocks and for the companies he acquired in full. It gets more difficult for him to continue to find companies that are big enough to be meaningful to his portfolio and Berkshire due to the size it has grown to.
Berkshire Hathaway Inc.’s cash position made a record in the third quarter of 2019, as Warren Buffett continues to look for good companies he can acquire for a great price that are big enough to be meaningful investments for his corporate conglomerate.
Berkshire Hathaway held $128 billion in cash and short-term U.S. Treasuries as of Sept. 30, 2019. Adding $6 billion in cash to their $122 billion from the end of the second quarter of 2019.
